We hope you find the stories of these artist inspirational. As these articles are sent to me i find myself remembering all the little things that drives me to create, Its good to see there is a common ground that is shared by my featured artist and my self. Thanks for the stories guys :)

I know you've heard it. "Kids today are too sophisticated to read comic books, magazines, and kid's books, or be interested in such lo-tech pursuits as drawing and painting. They have constant stimulation, with computers, the internet, Ipods, Ipads, and Iphones."  But it's not totally true.  Kids today love to draw and read as much today, as any other time.

I'll skip over the boring details of how I'm 40 yrs old, I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, went to school for communications (a computer and religion class away from my BA, but I'm not paying 5 grand for it), worked as a legal assistant / law clerk for much of the last 13 yrs and just tell you how I got into comics. The best part about doing this is meeting the artist at cons and chatting with them on facebook. You guys are the best. I've been inspired many times over by all the creativity i see on a daily basis.

I teach a class of young kids that one day want to be great artist. I have the privilege to see creativity at its earliest stages, and watch it bloom into what it will become tomorrow. It's truly awesome.
I guess over many years I've come to realize that art like beauty, is within the eye of the beholder. Don't ever stop creating.
